In this episode, Stefan meets Norberto Chaclin, who is currently leading the Global Bakery Research and Development team at Mondelēz International. 

Mondelēz International are behind some of the most well-known brands in snacks, such as Oreo, Belvita, Ritz and Cadbury’s just to name a few. 

The business has a significant growth aspiration to bring their brands to new markets and to new consumers and they do this through global innovation. In the global bakery research and development part of the business, Norberto and his team find themselves dealing with hundreds of innovation projects across the globe at any one time. 

Tracking and measuring the success and impact of these projects is fundamental to the business being able to achieve growth plans and the management of this strategy on a global scale is a complex, demanding, diverse and  fast-paced challenge.

Norberto describes how Mondelēz International has transitioned to create and implement a powerful data infrastructure that enables Mondelēz International to track, analyse, measure and react to the success of global innovation projects – all through a collaborative, successful partnership with Sopheon.

Norberto Chaclin, VP R&D Global Bakery, Mondelēz International

Norberto Chaclin has been at Mondelēz International for three years, currently leading the Global Bakery RDQ team.  Norberto and his team lead product innovation on famous brands such as Oreo, Chips Ahoy!, LU, Ritz, Club Social, Belvita and many more around the world.  In addition to Innovation, the team also looks after product renovations, business continuity, productivity and wellbeing projects across Mondelēz International’s vast Bakery portfolio.

For the first few years at Mondelēz Norberto was responsible for the Global Gum & Candy RDQ team working on core brands such as Trident, Clorets and Sour Patch Kids as well as leading re-invention of the Innovation and portfolio management process (Innovation Excellence).

Prior to joining Mondelēz International, Norberto spent 18 years with PepsiCo across Beverages, Snacks, Corporate Strategy and Sustainability launching exciting new products such as “bubbly” Sparkling Water, LifeWTR and Starbucks Cold Brew Coffee.
