Reformulating to reduce Carbon footprint for Scope 3 in the Science-Based Target Initiatives
Judith Murdoch, will explain the subtle but important differences between the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) and its UK counterpart, the UK Forest Risk Commodity Regulation (UKFRC). She will advise what you need to do if the legislation applies to your business.
She will describe how fats and oils from AAK will fully comply with both sets of legislation, and how AAK sites in the UK can help prove compliance with EU legislation. This is despite the UK not being part of the EU and therefore not being part of the EU IT system for compliance.
Lastly, Judith will talk about the challenges of meeting Scope 3 targets in the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi), and the tools that AAK has developed to make reductions in the carbon footprint of everyday food.

Navigating nutrition and health claims regulations to deliver responsible and impactful claims
The landmark EC Nutrition and Health Claims Regulation has been enforced for over a decade and aims to ensure consistency of messaging to enable responsibly informed choices by consumers. However, today we continue to see inconsistency, challenges by regulators and the application of unauthorised claims based on non- or no-science.
In this roundtable, we’ll explore how to develop nutrition and health claims that are legal, responsible and impactful for the final consumer. We’ll cover the key elements of the regulation, discuss potential EU/GB divergence, and dig into the current discussions and debates around nutrition and health claims.
