Linda Stuart-Trainor is Deputy Director of Food Drink Ireland (FDI), the main trade association for the food and drink industry in Ireland. FDI works to ensure a strong, competitive food and drink industry, through lobbying and representation, networking and peer-to-peer learning, and funded training supports.
Linda leads FDI’s work with the Prepared Consumer Foods sector, representing companies producing value-added food, beverages and ingredients selling in Ireland or internationally to grocery, convenience retail, food service and other food companies. Linda and her team support the sector on key issues such as business and labour costs, sustainability, food safety and nutrition, trade, skills and innovation.
Linda’s background is in policy and communications. She was previously Assistant Director of the Small Firms Association. Prior to that she conducted policy research at the Institute of International and European Affairs in Dublin and worked in public affairs in Brussels.
