Welcome and thank you for joining me this weekend.

Food has been used to cure ailments since the dawn of times – and in many parts of the world it still is. Whilst it shouldn’t be used as a replacement for modern medicine – food and its properties go beyond the plate. Health and wellbeing start in the kitchen after all.

In this week’s feature we discuss Functional nutrition: the role of food in disease prevention and management.

Healthy food can of course keep our body and mind in good shape, but can it go beyond that? Don’t miss this week’s episode of Food Matters Live podcast: Why there’s still more to learn about diet and ADHD.

Should some foods incur a higher tax if they cause serious environmental damage? Some think so. Read this week’s hot topic in: Germany says yes to meat tax, but only if it improves animal welfare, study shows.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend,

Stef
