The evidence says that adequate nutrition can reduce your cognitive age by five to 10 years. So good nutrition throughout life is the equivalent to about five to 10 years of biological ageing when it comes to cognitive health. Certainly individual dietary components will make a difference, but dietary patterns are much more important.
