Dr Tanja Harrison PhD RNutr is a registered nutritionist and AfN Regional Representative for the North West. After having worked as Senior Lecturer in Public Health Nutrition at a UK university, Tanja has now embarked on a career as a freelance nutrition consultant. She is the founder and director of The Menopause Larder Ltd.
Tanja’s PhD at Liverpool John Moores University investigated the TOFI (‘Thin-outside, fat-inside) phenotype of obesity leading to an intervention study that investigated the impact of carbohydrates, lipids and biomarkers on traditional and emerging cardiometabolic risk factors. After her PhD she explored the impact of diet and nutrition on health and wellbeing during the perimenopause and menopause.
During her time as university lecturer, Tanja taught across a range of programmes and subject matters.
