Jean works at the Advanced Manufacturing Technology Centre of Excellence in Dundalk, Co. Louth, Ireland. She is on the Board of Directors at Airfield Estate in Dublin and chairs Airfield’s Research and Education Committee. She was Director of Devenish’s Global Innovation Centre (GIC) at Dowth, Co. Meath, Ireland. Previously as Head of Research, she wrote a successful Marie Sklodowska Curie proposal for a project called ‘Heartland’ which is a collaboration between Devenish, Wageningen University, and University College Dublin looking at sustainable production systems in ruminant agriculture. She is a Royal Society Entrepreneur in Residence (awarded in 2020) at Queens University Belfast. She has held the positions of Food Innovation Manager at Devenish Nutrition, EU Regulatory Affairs Manager at Alltech (Ireland and France) and Food Safety and Consumer Insights Manager at the European Food Information Council (EUFIC, Brussels). She has also worked in the Food Safety Authority of Ireland and Michigan State University.
