Employability Adviser / Freelance Careers Consultant
Born in Sheffield , South Yorkshire I have been working in careers services since 1984. From helping students making decisions at the end of Y11 to congratulating successful new graduates, there have been many career highlights. The careers landscape has changed tremendously over the decades in terms of types of industry and roles available.
Since 2011 I have worked in Higher Education careers support. Based in the Business School I have helped students with their career planning, job& placement search, CV’s, interview skills, assessment centres as well as offering practise psychometric testing.
An experienced presenter to students, graduates and employers on all of the above as well as Graduate Labour Market trends, Equality and Diversity in recruitment, supporting international students and students with disabilities access work.
During the last 5 years I have specialised in helping Food and Nutrition students into work and learnt much about the sector in return.
