After gaining a BSc in Sport and Exercise Science (First Class Hons; Loughborough University), a MSc by Research (University of Gloucestershire) and a PhD (Loughborough University) in paediatric exercise and nutrient metabolism, I worked as a Research Officer for the International Study of Childhood Obesity, Lifestyle and the Environment (University of Bath) and am now a Senior Lecturer in Health, Nutrition and Exercise (University of Bedfordshire). My research focuses on how physical activity and breakfast consumption can improve cardiometabolic health in children and adolescents for the prevention of chronic conditions, such as type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease. I am also a member of the British Association for Sport and Exercise Science Climate Change Action Team and a Registered Nutritionist with the Association for Nutrition.
