Josh & Dirk had always set their sights on starting a brand which combined their passions for sustainability and food. The time came when Dirk sold his shares in Logistik and bought an ice cream van. The pair began experimenting with ice cream flavours in an at-home kitchen, spotting the opportunity in the category, which was lagging behind in terms of innovation. Where craft beer, soft drinks and many others were adapting to the consumer demand for better quality, natural and sustainable solutions, mainstream ice cream remained largely processed and behind the times. As NB°C they set out to make the best ice cream using a chef’s approach to sourcing new flavours and ingredients and creating new experiences.
