Glenys Jones

Glenys is a Registered Nutritionist who has a substantial amount of experience working in nutrition research, communications and regulation. She joined the AfN team in January 2015, with responsibility for AfN communications to Registrants and stakeholders. In 2019, having provided continuity during her time as Acting Chief Executive, she took on a permanent enhancement to her role, becoming the Deputy Chief Executive and taking on lead responsibility for the registration team and UKVRN activities. She is extremely passionate about professionalism, bringing expertise and knowledge to the team on regulation within the nutrition field and governance. Glenys has brought her research and education expertise to AfN, with her leading on development of a medical nutrition curriculum and standards for the nutrition training of the wider workforce. Most recently she has led on the revision of the standards of ethics and the competency requirements for registration.
