Beth is a Public Health Development Manager with Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council and leads on the food, physical activity and healthy weight agenda as part of her role. Beth advocated for the Council and CCG’s sign up to the Local Authority Declaration on Healthy Weight in April 2017 which was the country’s first joint Declaration. More recently Beth led the successful Pennine Lancashire Consortium bid to become one of the five national childhood obesity trailblazer sites and now leads the project team on the implementation of the Healthier Place Healthier Future Trailblazer Plan. Beth gained an MSc in Cardiovascular Rehabilitation from the University of Chester in 2006 and has 20 years’ experience in healthy lifestyles service delivery, community development and public health development across Pennine Lancashire.
