Food Matters Live announces 2026 London dates with long-term Olympia’s new International Convention Centre partnership

Food Matters Live has announced its return to Central London on 3–4 June 2026, setting the stage for a major new chapter in its evolution. The event will be one of the first to take place at Olympia’s newly redeveloped International Convention Centre, marking the beginning of a long-term partnership between Food Matters Live and the iconic venue.
Launched in 2014, Food Matters Live has built a strong reputation as a platform for fostering collaboration across the food, beverage and nutrition industry. Its 2026 edition promises to deliver even greater scale and impact by leveraging Olympia’s state-of-the-art facilities to host ingredient suppliers, R&D teams, and global innovation leaders.
“Food Matters Live has always been about connection and inspiration,” said Briony Mansell-Lewis, Managing Director of Food Matters Live. “As we look ahead to 2026, we’re thrilled to be partnering with Olympia – a venue that mirrors our ambition and gives us the room to grow.
“This new chapter allows us to better serve our vibrant community of food and nutrition innovators with an experience that’s accessible, forward-looking, and focussed on the people driving change.”
The move aligns with the wider transformation of Olympia, part of a £1.3 billion redevelopment project that will see the venue reimagined as a world-class cultural and business destination. The overhaul includes the creation of the International Convention Centre, two hotels, a theatre, music venue, and a variety of dining and retail experiences.
Andy O’Sullivan, CEO of Olympia Events, welcomed the new partnership:
“We’re excited to welcome Food Matters Live as one of the first events in our new International Convention Centre. This is a community that thrives on innovation, and we’re proud to support its future with a venue designed to inspire – and scale – with the industry’s ambitions.”
The 2026 event will continue to feature Food Matters Live’s signature blend of thought-provoking content, cutting-edge ingredient showcases, and immersive tasting experiences such as Tastes of Better. The programme will expand to address pressing industry themes, from formulation trends and sustainability to the growing role of artificial intelligence in food innovation.
As the UK’s largest manufacturing sector, the food and drink industry contributes over £37 billion annually to the economy – more than automotive and aerospace combined. Events like Food Matters Live play a vital role in supporting the innovation, reformulation, and ingredient development that underpin this economic impact.
The two-day Olympia event announcement follows the recent news that Food Matters Live will make its European debut in 2025, with a new annual edition taking place in Rotterdam on 23–24 September. Set in a region renowned for sustainable food innovation, the event aims to build bridges between the Dutch, wider European, and global ingredient suppliers.
With its return to London and expansion into Europe, Food Matters Live is strengthening its mission to support the people and ideas shaping the future of food.
