Döhler Group and Director of The Future of Nutrition and Longevity Institute.

Biography

After finishing his PhD in Chemistry 1996, Alexander joined the Döhler Group in Germany with R&D responsibility in “basic research raw materials and technology”. The development of new functional ingredients and also identification of market opportunities was his major focus. Three years later he moved into a Business Development function on FTNF flavours which also paved his way into more commercially oriented roles. Hereafter he was heading various functions from concept management to B2C product management and global responsibility of the product management for flavours before changing to Celanese for heading the Innovation management with focus on natural sweetening and preservation. In 2013 he joined ICL as Global Market Segment Lead Beverages to help extend the phosphate business into a solution oriented function on proteins. In late 2017 he moved back to Döhler where he is now globally responsible for the Business Unit Health. His professional passion today is in natural, plant-based ingredients that support health in various perspectives.
