Robert works within the gut microbiome science and technology programme for Unilever’s food business group and sees the microbes within us as the great enablers of many of the health benefits that consumers desire. Through partnerships and leveraging the power of collaboration, he leads a multitude of research projects relating to food and the gut microbiome. Prior to working at Unilever, Robert completed his DPhil at the University of Oxford and continues to be motivated to understand how we might harness the often non-intuitive microbe-host interactions that influence our health.
