Martin Thomsen
Martin Thomsen is CEO of Banana Cph and a senior commercial leader with more than 25 years of experience in the food industry. He has held CEO, COO and CCO roles, working with both global and premium brands to develop, position and scale successful food businesses.
Martin has worked with leading companies including Burger King, Royal Unibrew and SSP at Copenhagen Airport, and in recent years has focused on Danish premium brands in Copenhagen. He has a proven track record of scaling businesses and driving commercial growth across the companies he has worked with.
Driven by a passion for gastronomy, Martin believes that “taste is king” – but that long-term success in sustainable food depends on the ability to compete on equal terms with conventional products in both price and scale. This belief has shaped his work in recent years, where he has focused on building commercially viable, sustainable food brands that can succeed in the real market, not just in theory.
