Marcelo has over two decades of leadership experience in the food and beverage industry, with a career deeply rooted in commercial strategy and operational excellence. He joined Kerry in 1998 as part of the commercial team serving strategic customers in Brazil, and has held a number of leadership roles in the Latin American market, including President of Foodservice & Meat, and President of Brazil and the South Cone region. Since 2019, Marcelo served as President & CEO of Kerry Latin America. Under his leadership Kerry executed a transformative portfolio shift aligned with evolving market demands, including a number of strategic acquisitions. Marcelo also championed the rollout of Kerry’s sustainable nutrition strategy, embedding it across operations and customer partnerships throughout Latin America. In August 2025, Marcelo assumed the role of President & CEO of Kerry Europe and Global Preservation, where he now leads the strategic development and execution of Kerry’s strategy, with a focus on innovation, operational excellence, and customer partnership. Marcelo holds a BSc in Food Engineering from the University of Campinas and an MBA in Business Administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas in Brazil.
