Laura embarked on her academic journey with a Bachelor’s degree, followed by a PhD in Immunology, where she honed her scientific and research skills, investigating potential therapeutics for inflammatory diseases. She applied her PhD learnings to postdoctoral research at Food for Health Ireland, identifying foods with immune-modulating capabilities. Upon joining Kerry’s Nutrition Science team, Laura explored the link between nutrition and health. Transitioning to business development, she merged scientific insight with commercial acumen. As the leader of innovation and partnerships for Proactive Health, Laura spearheaded collaborative efforts to license new technologies into Kerry. Concurrently, she influenced policy and strategy on the IPA and MICRA Industry Steering Boards. Currently, in her role within RDA, Dr. Laura supports the cognitive health portfolio.
