Emma Wightman
Emma Wightman is an Associate Professor in Psychology at the University of Northumbria in the UK, where she manages an interdisciplinary research team; Nutrition Trials At Northumbria (NUTRAN). This group coalesces the nutrition expertise from across 6 disciplines within the University; Brain, Sleep, Sport, Biology, Vascular and Omics, with a shared mission to improve human health, wellbeing and performance through nutrition.
Emma sits on the steering committee for one of the 6 Diet and Health Open Innovation Research Clubs (OIRC), funded by UK research councils; ‘Investigating the role of functional foods and beverages to improve health and recovery’ (INFORM), and on the steering committee of one of 7 Interdisciplinary Research Themes at Northumbria University ‘Women’s Sport and Wellbeing’.
