Betina Piqueras-Fiszman
Betina Piqueras-Fiszman is Associate Professor at the Marketing and Consumer Behavior Group, in Wageningen University & Research, the Netherlands, and the Chair of the European Sensory Network (ESN). She specializes in sensory and consumer research, with a career dedicated to understanding how sensory cues influence people’s food experience and ultimately their behavior. She earned her PhD in multisensory food experience and has built an international reputation for her interdisciplinary approach, combining psychology, sensory science, and consumer research.
Over the years, she has collaborated in various sorts of projects with leading chefs, food companies, and research institutions worldwide, translating scientific insights into practical applications. She is widely published in top scientific journals and is a regular speaker at international conferences and events. Through her current work, Betina continues to shape contemporary understanding of sensory perception, bridging rigorous science with creativity and innovation for a healthier and more sustainable food consumption.
