Marietta Sayegh (PhD) is the EMEA Lead Nutrition Scientist at Tate & Lyle, where she supports the integration of nutrition science into ingredient innovation and regional strategy. She works across functions to translate emerging scientific insights into practical, commercially relevant applications, particularly in the areas of fibre technology, digestive wellness, glycaemic response, and positive nutrition that supports
long-term health.
Marietta collaborates with internal teams and customers to communicate the latest science behind Tate & Lyle’s ingredient solutions and contributes to the development of science-based materials for health professionals and wellness-focused audiences.
She holds a PhD in Human Nutrition from the University of Aberdeen, UK, where her research focused on inter-individual variation in glucose responses in women. Before joining Tate & Lyle, Marietta completed postdoctoral research in the areas of nutrition sustainability and food security. She is a Registered Nutritionist (AfN, UK) and holds a BSc (Hons) in nutrition.
