UPP delivers sustainable, nutritious, plant-based, allergen-free protein and fibre ingredients. We supply major food producers and foodservice companies to enable low-risk, low-friction, cost-down reformulation of existing products. Our ingredients support healthy diets, planetary commitments, and clean-label reformulation.
Our ingredients are non-novel under UK and EU food law, BRCGS Grade A with multi-tonne daily capacity, and can be used at inclusion rates of 4–30% across multiple categories including hybrid meats, ready meals, sauces, biscuits and bakery.
About
Our system-level model is designed to benefit all four of our 4P stakeholders: Planters (farmers), Producers (manufacturers), People (consumers) and Planet. Our operating principles are built on circular thinking and integrating the supply chain.
By upcycling currently wasted food-grade broccoli stem, stalk and heads, we help growers reduce waste and capture more value from their broccoli crops. We also enable manufacturers to deliver nutritionally enhanced, sustainable and affordable products with low integration friction. Our independent LCA shows less than 0.25 kg CO₂e per kg of ingredient, supporting retailers' Scope 3 reduction.
