Pippa Gibson
Pippa recently joined Tate & Lyle as the EMEA Nutrition Business Partner, where she communicates the nutrition science and benefits of functional ingredients for population health. Her passion is helping people live healthier lives through nutrition education and improving the food they eat.
Pippa's love of food led her to study nutrition - she holds an undergraduate degree and PhD from the University of Surrey where she studied the role of vitamin D in paediatric liver disease. After graduating she moved to King's College London as a postdoctoral research associate running human clinical trials (where she famously baked over 1000 muffins for a clinical trial on dietary fats). Previously, Pippa worked at the British Nutrition Foundation, a UK charity focused on shaping the UK's nutrition landscape and headed up nutrition for a contract catering company where she educated school children about the importance of healthy eating.
This diverse experience, spanning clinical research, industry partnerships, and nutrition education - enables her to translate complex science into practical insights that resonate with everyone from food manufacturers to consumers.
