Fermtech

Fermtech is a UK-based ingredients company, developing high-performing, great-tasting ingredients using a natural fermentation process. By applying biology to fibrous crop side streams, it creates ingredients that are authentically delicious, naturally nutritious and affordably sustainable, all from what's already grown. Fermtech’s first product, Koji Cocoa™, transforms side streams of cocoa production into a high-fibre ingredient with authentic cocoa taste, up to 98% lower CO₂ and 25-33% cost saving vs standard cocoa. Fermtech’s products also include baking flavours and coatings from side streams of barley and beet, and seasonings and savoury flavours from oats and wheat. At Food Matters Live, the team will share how fermentation can unlock new ingredient opportunities, alongside practical insights for reformulation, cost reduction and more sustainable product development.
