CHKP is an Israeli-based start-up that creates plant-based dairy alternatives made from chickpea protein isolate. Existing products include yoghurt and cream cheese. CHKP’s plant-based yoghurt comes in flavours including Wild Strawberry, Madagascar Vanilla and Naturally Plain.
The start-up has also developed plant-based milk, cream and pudding.
All of CHKP products are clean label,gluten-free, allergen-free and don’t exceed six ingredients per product.
The start-up believes the chickpea is the most suitable crop in the pulse family to lead the alternative dairy category due to its taste and texture, and should sit alongside oats, almonds, soy and rice.
