FAQs

Before the event

Where is the event taking place?

The London event is taking place at the BFI Southbank, Belvedere Rd, London SE1 8XT. Please use the main BFI Southbank foyer and box office entrance on Theatre Avenue, by the National Theatre at street level.

How do I get there?

The nearest stations are Waterloo (South Bank exit), Charing Cross (cross Hungerford Bridge to reach the South Bank) and Embankment.

Please use the box office entrance on Theatre Avenue to access the building. Make your way up the stairs to the left of reception (you will see signs for Inspiring Careers in Food). At the top of the stairs turn right and walk along the corridor until you see The Hub. We’ll be there to sign you in.

Which sessions can I attend?

You can

I booked the wrong session; can I change my booking?

All of the sessions are on a first-come-first-serve basis. If you have booked the wrong session, don’t worry, just find a Food Matters Live staff member and we’ll see if we can fit you in.

Can I register at the event?

Yes, you can but it depends on space availability. Just come in advance so we have time to register you on the day before the session begins.

Where can I find information about the event programme?

You can find the full programme on the event page here.

Are there any breaks between sessions?

There will be a 15-minute break between each session. However, there is a session on the hour, every hour, so if you’d like a longer break you might need to skip a session. Feel free to use the break to go to The Hub to speak to our employers!

Is the catering provided during the day?

Catering will not be provided at the event, however, there’s a cafe onsite at ground level if you wish to purchase any refreshments.

I have accessibility and special requirements; can you accommodate me?

The maximum dimensions for a scooter/powered wheelchair for these lifts are 880mm wide and 1330mm long with a maximum weight of 340kg.
