Food Matters Live trend insights
POSTPONED| Complimentary (booking fee applies)

With Panellists, Nick Morgan, Javier Gonzalez, Lou Antonio Matera and Klaudia Buczek

Why is it so important to have good nutrition in eSports?

The popularity of eSports has increased rapidly in recent years and is set to rise. ESports is one of the fastest growing segments in the nutrition market with the market expecting to reach US $398,950 million in revenue by 2026 and predicting to grow at a CAGR of 11% during 2021-26.

Panellists will examine how to deliver nutritional supplements and food tailored to the needs of gamers with formulations that contain synergistically acting bioactive ingredients. How can we make sure these claims are backed by scientifically proven health benefits? And how do we deliver them in a format convenient for eSports players?

As eSports become more professional, eSport athletes require higher levels of cognitive abilities and motor skills for optimal performance. Like more traditional athletes, they may also benefit from adequate body composition and proper nutrition. However, there is a noticeable shortage of scientific knowledge in this area, especially around their nutrition.

This dynamic and informative expert panel will analyse the nutritional strategies that may enhance health, cognitive performance, increase reaction time and minimise fatigue.
