US food company Good Catch is expanding its offering in the UK with three new frozen plant-based products: Plant-Based Classic Style Fish-Free Burgers, Plant-Based New England-Style Crab-Free Cakes and Plant-Based Thai-Style Fish-Free Cakes, which are now available at selected Tesco stores across the UK, priced at £3.75 each.

Co-founded by brothers andplant-based chefs Derek and Chad Sarno, Good Catch aims to bring to the market plant-based seafood with the flavour and texture of the real thing, but without the need to fish or harm animals.
Derek and Chad Sarno are also behind the successful plant-based brand Wicked Kitchen. Sold in Tesco, the range was launched in 2017 in the UK, and in July 2021 expanded to the United States, where it’s sold in 2,500 supermarkets.

“We’re delighted to be introducing more products to the UK and are excited about the variety that the range will bring to consumers,” said Chad Sarno, Co-Founder & Chief Culinary Officer at Gathered Foods, makers of Good Catch. “We’re seeing that people are more concerned about both the health and environmental impacts of their seafood consumption, as well as the wellbeing of the oceans and the species in it that call it home. We understand that people want different culinary options, without having to sacrifice on taste and the overall dining experience, so we are thrilled to be bringing more choice to market with this launch.”

Good Catch plant-based seafood uses a proprietary protein-packed blend six-legume blend of peas, chickpeas, lentils, soy, fava beans, and navy beans. The products are free from fish, seafood, or any animal ingredients, artificial flavours, palm or canola oil, hydrogenated fats and synthetic colours.

As well as thePlant-Based Classic Style Fish-Free Burgers, Plant-Based New England-Style Crab-Free Cakes and Plant-Based Thai-Style Fish-Free Cakes, Good Catch also makes Plant-Based Fish Sticks, Plant-Based Fish Fillets, Plant-Based Crab Cakes, and Plant-Based Tuna in three flavours: Mediterranean, Oil and Herbs and Naked in Water.

Good Fish is backed by actor Woody Harrelson, pop star Lance Bass and TV personality and socialite Paris Hilton, all of whom have invested in the company.

The products are available online at Tesco.
