Food Matters Live launches Tastes of Better event series

The Food Matters Live: Tastes of Better event series is launching in London in March 2023, with more dates in Manchester in May, and back in the capital in October.

The Tastes of Better event series will offer the opportunity to taste and experience first-hand the latest ingredient, flavour and colour innovations shaping the future of food and nutrition.

The exclusive culinary experience will showcase the latest in taste innovations in ingredients, flavours and colours across key consumer trends including natural, plant-based, better-for-you, free-from sustainability, and functional nutrition. The event series is open to a VIP-only audience.

The Tastes of Better event series will bring together an audience at the core of food and nutrition innovation – from product developers, R&D and technical teams, and development chefs, to dietitians, nutritionists, brand leads and marketing professionals from across manufacturing, retail and foodservice.

Attendees will gain insights into new solutions to support innovation pipelines and growth and experience the innovation first-hand, with live tastings accompanied by access to experts providing the scientific and technical know-how behind the innovations.

The first event will take place in the capital at The Kia Oval. The prestigious venue is conveniently situated in central London, adjacent to the river Thames, and boasts several tasting rooms benefitting from plenty of natural light, all steeped in history and surrounded by views of the iconic Oval pitch.

The Manchester venue

Suite at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground

Tastes of Better will take place on 16-17 May 2023 at the award winning, sustainable Old Trafford Cricket Ground. The event will focus on food innovation and will explore key consumer trends like plant-based, sustainability, better-for-you and functional nutrition.

The iconic Old Trafford Cricket Ground boasts six private hospitality suites: The Lancaster Suite, The Club Suite, The Library Suite, The Honours Suite, The Boardroom, and The 1984 Suite. Each suite offers a unique experience and presents each partner with the opportunity to host a series of private customer innovation tasting sessions. Each partner will also have use of their private executive box with its own private terrace over-looking the cricket ground, where they will be able to hold meetings outside of the tasting session.

Partners and guests will also have access to the The Members Lounge and Longroom where they’ll have the opportunity to attend networking sessions, hear from guest speakers and enjoy the terraces overlooking the ground.

The event will end with a drink reception and a talk by a guest speaker.

Attending Tastes of Better event series

The Tastes of Better event series is open to up to 350 quality professionals working in food and nutrition innovation from across new product development, innovation, technical and marketing teams, together with nutrition and food science experts, innovation chefs and relevant new brands looking to experience inspiring new solutions.

Attendance is by invite only. Those wishing to take part in the event can do so by applying to Food Matters Live.
