The Food Matters Live Sustainable Food Forum will launch in September 2023.

With the climate crisis looming, and an ever-growing global population to provide for, finding pathways toward sustainable food systems is more important than ever.

The two-day Food Matters Live event will take place on 19 and 20 September 2023 at a soon to be revealed venue in central London, and focus on an inspirational programme of international keynote speakers, together with country-specific panel discussions showcasing challenges and initiatives in sustainable food formulation. The programme will feature innovators from the ingredients sector, brands and manufacturers, and related food tech companies contributing to sustainable food processes and production.

The three key areas which will be targeted at the event are:

  • Sustainable ingredients
  • Sustainable food processes and production
  • Sustainable food and drink product development and their impact

The sessions will be streamed to a wider international audience and will be available on demand post the event. Additionally, an e-publication covering the insights and the work of partners of the Forum will be produced after the event and shared internationally.

The Forum will run from 9:30 until 17:30 on both days. Afterwards guests will be invited to a networking drinks reception where they can discuss the topics covered during the event with like minded individuals.

Sustainable Food Week

The Sustainable Food Forum will form the backbone of another Food Matters Live initiative: Sustainable Food Week.

Sustainable Food Week will run from 18 to 24 September 2023. During this period, the Food Matters Live platform will play host to global online trends panels, editorial insights and podcasts celebrating global innovators changing the future of sustainable food.

Themes discussed during this week will complement those tackled at the Sustainable Food Forum, and will include global sustainable ingredients, manufacturing and R&D, nutrition profiles and affordability of sustainable food and drinks, farm to table initiatives, international open innovation connections, consumer insights and investment, and scale up opportunities.

Attending the Sustainable Food Forum

Attendees to the Sustainable Food Forum will be a VIP audience of key stakeholders involved in sustainable food formulation from manufacturing, retail, foodservice as well as the investment community.
